NEWARK, NJ – The Saint Peter's women's swimming and diving team competed in a tri meet at NJIT against Drexel and Howard on Sunday afternoon. The Peacocks fell to Drexel, 150-54, and to Howard, 190-39.
"The woman's swimming team traveled to NJIT for a meet against Drexel and Howard yesterday and the team posted impressive time drops on their personal records, and keep showing great promise for a strong finish at the end of this season," said head coach Mark Kretzer. "Freshman Kyra Gabinette swam the 500 freestyle for the first time in her career, and posted an excellent time. Senior rookie Kamila Pawka continues to impress her teammates with her sprint freestyle times. It is always fun working with athletes who continue to drop time meet after meet, they really get excited after each and every race, which in turn gets me excited to help them achieve their goals. The team has gotten closer and closer these past few weeks and really show great camaraderie, which is amazing to see as a coach."
