Saint Peter's men's basketball heads back on the road for two games, beginning with a Thursday night ESPN3 meeting with Quinnipiac University. The Peacocks can earn a season sweep over the Bobcats for the first time since Quinnipiac joins the MAAC.
ALL-TIME SERIES RECORD VERSUS QUINNIPIAC
Thursday's contest will be the 10th meeting all-time between the Peacocks and Bobcats with Saint Peter's leading the series 6-3. Since Quinnipiac joined the MAAC in 2013-14, the teams have split the season series. With a win, the Peacocks can earn the first series sweep of all-time between the two.
THE FIRST TIME WE MET THIS YEAR
Exactly one month ago on January 9, the Peacocks defeated the Bobcats 58-54 in Jersey City. Quadir Welton finished the night with a game-high 15 points and six rebounds along with two blocks. Trevis Wyche added 13 points, and both Cavon Baker and Nick Griffin scored 10 points each in the win.
SCOUT ON THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac comes into the contest with a 7-7 MAAC record and a 10-14 overall record. The Bobcats are riding a two-game winning steak, with back-to-back wins over Niagara (89-81) and in-state rival Fairfield (73-71). Mikey Dixon leads the Bobcats in scoring, averaging 16.6 points per game, followed by Peter Kiss who averages 13.8 points per game, and Chaise Daniels is averaging 12.3 points per outing.
LAST TIME OUT
The Peacocks suffered a tough 72-70 loss on Monday night, to Canisius College in the Yanitelli Center on a last second coast-to-coast layup. Trevis Wyche scored all of his team-high 17 points in the second half and added five assists. Both Nick Griffin and Samuel Idowu finished their evenings with 11 points each, while Quadir Welton grabbed a team best 10 rebounds.

• The Peacocks dropped their third straight MAAC game for the first time this season after losing to Canisius.

SUCCESSFUL JANUARY
• The Peacocks enjoyed a successful month of January going 7-3 in 10 games, including a 6-1 stretch from Jan. 9-26. The seven wins in the month are tied for the single most wins in any month of John Dunne's career (won seven games in January of 2010).

• The Peacocks concluded six games in a 12-day period from Jan. 15-26, going 5-1 during the stretch, earning road wins at Rider (Jan. 15), Fairfield (Jan. 17), and Marist (Jan.26) and home victories against Siena (Jan. 19) and Rider (Jan. 23).
FROM DOWNTOWN
• The Peacocks hit a season-high 13 three-point field goals, and shot a season best 65.0 percent from beyond the arc against Marist (Jan. 26). The 13 made three-point field goals were the most ever made in a game by a John Dunne team and the most by a Peacock team since the 2005-06 season when the squad hit 13 threes against Fairfield (Feb. 14, 2006).
GET OUT THE BROOMS
• The Peacocks swept the season series against hOURglass rival Rider, this year for the first time since the 2005-06 season.
BAKER'S 2ND HALF DOMINACNE
• Senior guard Cavon Baker scored 16 out of Saint Peter's 33 second half points (the second most points in the second half by any Peacock this season), leading the team in a 14-point comeback victory over Rider (Jan. 23). The 16 points are also a career-best for Baker wearing a Peacock jersey.
NEW CAREER MARKS FOR IDOWU
• Sophomore forward Samuel Idowu set new career marks in scoring (14 points) and three-point field goals made (4) and led the Peacocks in scoring for the first time in his career against Siena (Jan. 19).
WELCOME TO THE 1,000 POINT CLUB
• Senior guard Trevis Wyche became the 31st overall and eighth player under head coach John Dunne to join the club against rival Rider (Jan. 15) and senior forward Quadir Welton became the 32nd player and ninth under Dunne to join the club against Niagara (Jan. 21).
LEAVING HIS MARK IN JERSEY CITY
• Trevis Wyche is one of just two Peacocks all-time to score over 1,000 career points, rank in the top five in career assists, and rank in the top 10 in career steals. Keydren Clark is the only other player to do so.
STARTING MAAC PLAY STRONG
• The Peacocks 7-3 MAAC start is tied for the best 10 game start under coach John Dunne (started 7-3 in 2009-10 and 2010-11). In both of those seasons, his squads finished 11-7 (prior to playing 20 league games).
CHARITY STRIPE PERFECTION
• The Peacocks made all 17 free throws against Monmouth (Jan. 2), shooting 100 percent from the line for the second time this season (went 1-for-1 against Elon on Dec. 18), becoming the only team in the MAAC with two perfect free throw shooting performances.
• The 17 for 17 free throw game by the Peacocks are the third of its kind this season (Manhattan and Fairfield each logged a 17-17 game during non-conference play).
THEFT MASTERS
• Trevis Wyche and Chazz Patterson have ranked in the top five of the MAAC in steals all season.
• Behind the defense of Wyche and Patterson, the Peacocks are one of the MAAC's top teams in steals and steals per contest.

• Nick Griffin has hit four or more three-point field goals six times this season and has recorded at least one three point field goal in all but two games this season.

• Quadir Welton scored a career-high 27-points against Boston U. (Nov. 28) topping his previous mark of 24 points (scored vs. Niagara on Feb. 12, 2016)
STRONG SHOWING AT THE JOHNNY BACH CLASSIC
• The Peacocks posted a 2-1 record at the Johnny Bach Classic, including going 2-0 against neutral opponents, and winning those contest by an average of 19.5 points. The Peacocks 90 point effort against Lipscomb (Nov. 18) was tied for a John Dunne's team highest scoring output.
• Saint Peter's 37 made free-throws and 51 free-throw attempts against Lipscomb, are the most by a MAAC team this season.
DOUBLES FOR DUNNE
• For the first time ever under John Dunne, six different players scored in double figures against FDU (Nov. 20): Trevis Wyche (17), Nick Griffin (16), Antwon Portley (12), Quadir Welton (12), Nnamdi Enechionyia (11), and Chazz Patterson (10).
• This was also the first time a Dunne coached team had all five starters score in double figures: Wyche, Portley, Patterson, Enechionyia, and Welton.
• The last time a team under Dunne had five players score in double figures previously had been Nov. 18, 2011.
• Saint Peter's was the first MAAC team to have six players, including all five starters, score in double-digits since Iona completed the feet back on March 2, 2014.

• Quadir Welton currently has five double-doubles this season and 18 in his career.
• Logged his first of the season against Lipscomb (Nov. 18), scoring 23 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

BENCHMARK CAREER-GAME
• Both Nick Griffin and Samuel Idowu had career nights in scoring off of the bench for the Peacocks against Lipscomb (Nov. 18) with Griffin scoring 21 points and Idowu scoring 13 points.
MEET THE 2016-17 SQUAD
• The Peacocks return four of its five starters and eight letter winners from last year's team.
THE ALL-MAAC TRIO
• The senior duo of Quadir Welton (Philadelphia, PA/Math, Civics and Science Charter) and Trevis Wyche (Neptune, NJ/Saint Peter's Prep), along with sophomore Antwon Portley (Lancaster, TX/Lancaster) were selected to the Preseason All-MAAC Teams. Welton was named to the preseason second team after being voted to the All-MAAC Third team last season. Wyche and Portley were named to the preseason third team after Wyche was a member of the All-MAAC Second team last year and Portley was a member of the All-MAAC Third team and All-Rookie team.
• Quadir Welton earned Preseason All-MAAC Second Team honors. The senior started all 30 games for the Peacocks and averaged 12.4 points last season. He dominated the glass, averaging 8.2 rebounds per game, which ranked second best in the conference and was a double-double machine, posting 11 which was third most in the league in 2015-16. The senior posted double figure-point games in 21 of the 30 games including a career-high 24 points against Niagara on Feb.12. Welton also rejected 33 shots in his junior campaign, well enough for the top 10 in the league.
• Trevis Wyche was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Third Team. Wyche averaged 12.4 points per outing last season earning All-MAAC Second Team accolades despite being injured for most of the season. The senior guard was one of the top dime droppers in the MAAC, dishing out the fifth most assists in the conference with his 4.5 average. He also ranked second in the league in assist to turnover ratio, logging a 2.1 ratio. Wyche scored a career-high, 26 points against nationally ranked George Washington on Dec. 19. He was also one of the most efficient shooter in the conference, posting a 51.1 percent field goal average, which ranked fifth in the league.
• Antwon Portley joined Wyche on the Preseason All-MAAC Third Team. The sophomore started in all 30 games as a true freshman last season earning MAAC All-Rookie Team honors. Portley made an immediate impact in his collegiate debut, scoring a career-high 30 points against Brown and kept pace leading the Peacocks and ranking 17th in the MAAC with his 14.0 points per game. He recorded 22 games with 10+ points and nine games with 20+ points. Portley earned weekly honors on three occasions in his rookie campaign.
LOCKDOWN DEFENDER
• Along with the All-MAAC trio, senior lock down defender, Chazz Patterson (Browns Mills, NJ/Trenton Catholic) is the fourth returning starter. Patterson, started in all 30 games last season and averaged 8.0 points per game, while posting a team best, 43 total steals in 2015-16.
TIME TO SUIT UP
• Senior Cavon Baker (Queens, NY/New Hope Academy [Md.] (Houston), junior Nnamdi Enechionyia (Springfield, VA/St. James School (Samford)), and junior Nick Griffin (Rockville, MD/Col. Zadok Magruder (George Washington)) become eligible this season after the three sat out all of 2015-16 due to transfer regulations.
BACK ON THE LINEUP
• Junior J.R. William (Linden, NJ/Linden (Globe Institute of Technology) is back on the lineup in 2016-17.
• The sophomore big men duo of Mamadou Ndiaye (Laurel, MD/Oakland Mills) and Samuel Idowu (Brooklyn, NY/Lafayette Educational Complex) are projected to contribute to the Peacocks lineup in their second seasons.
SITTING THIS ONE OUT
• Sophomore guard Cameron Jones (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) will sit out this season as he takes a redshirt year.
WELCOME TO JERSEY CITY
• The Peacocks welcome two newcomers and one walk-on to its roster this season.
• JUCO transfer, Davauhnte Turner (Simsboro, LA/Grambling/Independence Community College) and true freshman Quinn Taylor (Amarillo, TX/Tascosa) join the team as scholarship newcomers in 2016-17. Turner will redshirt this season while Taylor will look to make his collegiate debut as a freshman.
• Sean Barksdale (Lakewood, NJ/Lakewood) is a freshman walk-on that will look to make his collegiate debut this year.
PRESEASON POLL
• The Peacocks were selected fourth by the coaches in the preseason coaches' poll earning 86 votes after finishing the 2015-16 regular season tied for fourth in the final standings with a 12-8 MAAC record.
THREE ON THE PRESEASON TEAM
• The last time the Peacocks placed three players on preseason teams, was in 2010-11 (Wesley Jenkins, Ryan Bacon, and Nick Leon). The trio led the Peacocks to the 2011 MAAC championship that season and were all named to the 2011 All-Tournament team.
ABOUT THE COACHING STAFF
• Assistant coaches Matt Henry and Serge Clement each return to the bench for their fourth seasons under John Dunne.
• JK Schneiderman returns for his second season as the director of basketball operations.
