Men's and Women's Tennis Take on St. Francis Brooklyn in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University men's and women's tennis teams will host the Terriers of St. Francis Brooklyn for a 1pm first serve in the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center Bubble on Saturday.

 

Last Time Out - The Peacocks' men's team fell to Sacred Heart 6-1 with Cuong Lam winning on the No. 6 court for the only point. The Peacocks' women's team had last weekend off but the week before, they dropped a hard fought match to La Salle, 4-3. Lucia Radovic (No. 1), Claudia Hellman (No. 4), and Christian Resurreccion (No. 6) all won their respective singles match.

 

History - The men's and women's team had success last year against St. Francis College with both teams earning wins. The men's team won 7-0 and the women's squad won 5-2, respectively.

 

Scouting - The Terriers are doing much better this year than last year. After going winless last season, the men's team owns a 3-6 record this year. The record includes wins against conference foes Siena College and Rider University. The women's team have improved winning one match this year, more than they had won last year.

 

Up Next - The Saint Peter's University men's and women's teams will be back in action less than 24 hours later. They will be returning for another match against the Leopards of Lafayette College at the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center for an 11am first serve.
