Right-handed pitcher, Willie Krajnik (Lyndhurst, NJ / Saint Mary) got the start, going 6.0 innings, striking out four, and giving up no earned runs. In relief, senior righty, Anthony Assante (Brick, NJ / Brick Memorial) tossed the final 2.0 innings. The Peacocks got out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second, when Micak hit the team's first homer of the year, scoring Hunter Mason (Marlton, NJ / Cherokee) from first base.

Still holding onto the 2-0 lead, the Peacocks extended the lead to five nil, in the third inning with three more runs. With runners in scoring position, Quintero hit a double that brought both Perez and Feigin home. Later in the inning with two outs, Ciocco hit an RBI single to center field allowing Quintero to score from second base.

After the Peacocks closed out the third inning with a 5-0 lead, the team did not score another run and only logged one hit through the final six innings. The Blackbirds put together a rally that began in the fifth inning with two runs. Then in the seventh inning, LIU Brooklyn scored another three runs to tie up the contest at 5-5. In the eighth, the Blackbirds scored the go-ahead run, and ultimately took a 7-5 advantage into the final inning to close out the game.
