Peacocks Fall to North Carolina A&T

The Peacocks lost their first of five games in Greensboro, NC, 8-3

GREENSBORO, NC - The Saint Peter's softball team fell to North Carolina A&T on Wednesday afternoon, 8-3. 
 
Game Notes vs. North Carolina A&T:
  • The Peacocks and North Carolina A&T both went scoreless for the first three innings. 
  • Sydney Ramsey notched her two strikeouts of the game in the second and third innings. 
  • The Peacocks put their first run on the board at the top of the fourth inning.
  • Alyssa Mido singled up the middle, bringing in the runner to take a 1-0 lead. 
  • In the bottom of the fifth inning, North Carolina A&T scored six runs, taking the lead 6-1. 
  • They followed that up with two more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, stretching their lead to 8-1.  
  • In the final inning, Alina Guevara singled to right field bringing in a run, 8-2. 
  • Alyssa Mido grounded out to second base, earning her second RBI of the game, bringing the final score to 8-3. 
  • Mido had a team-high of two RBI's against North Carolina A&T.

  • The Peacocks continue in Greensboro, NC for the Spartan Classic.
  • The team will play Sacred Heart at 11 a.m. and UNC Greensboro at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 8.
