JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's Athletics Department wrapped up the Inaugural Peacock Trot presented by Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union on Sunday, November 29. The weeklong virtual 5K had over
125 participants from Peacock Nation run or walk, including alumni, current students, faculty, staff, families and friends.
Some highlights from the race:
Peacocks from the classes of 1961 to 2024 participated, with representation from every decade in between. We saw 21 current students participate in the Trot, with the Class of 2022 representing the highest number of participants (9).
The
most senior participant was Joseph Millichap '61, while the
youngest participant was future Peacock, Benjamin Woods (age 4).
Peacocks completed the 5K in
13 states plus Puerto Rico, from New Jersey to California. We also saw some Trotters showing their
Peacock Pride abroad – we had participants in Great Britain, New Zealand and Hungary!
