MAAC Names Four Women's Cross Country Student-Athletes to the All-Academic Team

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has unveiled its 2021 Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday. Four student-athletes from the Saint Peter's University women's cross country program were honored. 

The upperclassmen led the way for the women, as 5th year runner Lovely Francois was joined by seniors Grace Proctor and Maleny Cajamarca among the list of honorees. Standout junior Shelby Piccinic rounded out the list for the Peacocks. They have been recognized among the 121 total student athletes league-wide for their contributions in the classroom and on the track. 

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

The 2021 MAAC Cross Country Championships take place this Saturday, October 30th from the Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. For all updates, follow #MAACXC on social media and visit maacsports.com.
