JERSEY CITY, NJ – Head coach
Chris Stelma of the Saint Peter's University softball program has announced the addition of two transfer student-athletes. Sisters Aubrey and Kourtney Ketcham, who currently are members of the Herkimer County Community College's softball team and compete at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) level, recently signed national letters of intent (NLI) and are set to join the program this coming fall.
"The Ketcham Sisters bring an attitude of winning to Jersey City," noted Stelma. "They have had very successful careers for Coach Anadio at Herkimer. They are currently gearing up for a run at the NJCAA Division III Title. We wish them well and cannot wait until they join us in Jersey City this fall."
Aubrey Ketcham | IF | 5'7 | Otisville, NY | Minisink Valley H.S. | Herkimer County C.C.
Before Saint Peter's: Aubrey Ketcham has spent the last three seasons playing for Herkimer C.C.C. Like her sister, she spent her high school career at Minisink Valley High School in Slate Hill, New York, where she was a four-year letterwinner and started in the middle of the infield throughout her career. She helped the team finish 22-1 and as the state tournament runner-up as a senior in 2018 before arriving at Herkimer CCC. Since her collegiate career began, Aubrey Ketcham was named the 2019 Outstanding Defensive Player at the NJCAA Division III National Championships, which the team finished as the national runner-up. This spring, Aubrey Ketcham earned all-region second team honors for the first time thanks to a batting average currently over .400, as well as 31 runs scored, six doubles and 13 RBIs. She plans to major in English at Saint Peter's.
Coach Stelma on Aubrey Ketcham: "Aubrey adds depth to our infield and is a polished college player. She brings speed, as well as excellent defense, and she looks to be a difference-maker and top-of-the-lineup hitter."
