JERSEY CITY, NJ - A men's soccer player and a women's cross country runner have been named Saint Peter's University Athletics Peacocks of the Month for September, as senior Jamie Davis and junior Shelby Piccinic have earned the first monthly Peacock award for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Davis has been red hot for the men's soccer team so far this season. Appearing and starting in seven games for the Peacocks, Davis has already accumulated two goals and seven assists, earning him 11 points with still a full month of play to go. Davis' seven assists are the most by any player so far in the MAAC this season, and he has averaged 1.57 points per game this season, also the best such figure in the MAAC. With his seven assists this season, Davis has moved into a tie for sixth all-time in career assists at Saint Peter's, as he now has 19 helpers in his illustrious career.

Piccinic picked up where she left off the abbreviated 2020-21 season, leading the Peacocks in another meet. In the Hofstra XC Dual Meet on September 18, the junior clocked a final time of 19:18.20, averaging a 6:13/mile on the 5K course. The women finished one point behind Hofstra for the title of the event.
