- The Knights responded with three runs in the bottom of the fifth and two in the bottom of the sixth to take a 9-2 lead.

- Jensen was hit by a pitch to lead off the ninth inning and was able to get to third base with no outs after two wild pitches. Junior catcher Michael Cardone was able to drive Jensen in with two outs. Saint Peter's loaded the bases after that, but were unable to drive home any more runs.
