How It Happened
- Sophomore infielder Jack Eichler hit a two-run double to right field in the second to put the Peacocks in front.
- Hofstra scored three times in the third.
- The Pride tacked on another run in the fourth.
- Hofstra added two more runs in the sixth.
- The Pride scored three times in the seventh.
- Saint Peter's struck in the seventh after a two run single by graduate outfielder Tom Buckman with two outs. Sophomore outfielder Collin Jensen and junior infielder Sam Haney each took walks with the bases loaded to score two more runs. After that, junior infielder Jeff Massicotte hit a two-run single to bring the Peacocks within one after seven.
- Hofstra scored six more runs in the eighth.
