JERSEY CITY, NJ - A women's and men's soccer player have been named Saint Peter's University Athletics Peacocks of the Month for August, as freshman Olivia Mackethan and freshman Reiss Skeen have earned the first monthly Peacock award for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Mackethan has had a strong start to the 2022 season despite what the record shows. She made her first career clean sheet in a 1-0 win against Hampton on August 31. The Boyertown, PA native has also kept the Peacocks in all their games this season, as she has made 26 saves through five games, which is tied for seventh in the country amongst Division I goalkeepers.
Skeen is another freshman who has gotten off to a great start this year. The freshman from Kent, England scored a goal in his first ever game as a Peacock on August 25 in a 2-2 draw against VMI. He also assisted the Peacocks lone goal on August 29 in a game against Stony Brook. He leads the team in points with three.
