Rich Behan Announced as Assistant Athletics Director for Integrated Marketing and Digital Strategy

JERSEY CITY, NJ - Director of Athletics Rachelle Paul announced today that Rich Behan has been named the new Assistant Athletics Director for Integrated Marketing and Digital Strategy.

"We are beyond excited for Rich to transition into his new role at Saint Peter's," Paul said. "He worked tirelessly as a Graduate Assistant last year and we look forward to the continuing development of our department with Rich aboard."

In his new role, Behan will help manage the Peacock's digital platforms, social media accounts, and electronic communications with a focus on enhancing fan engagement and the gameday experience for Saint Peter's 14 athletic programs.

Behan served as a Graduate Assistant at Saint Peter's University during the 2021-22 academic year, working on all gameday broadcast productions, including the Peacocks Digital Network and ESPN+. He also served as the primary contact for Peacocks Track & Field/Cross Country and the secondary contact for Men's Basketball. Behan played a crucial role in content development during Men's Basketball's run to the Elite Eight. He, along with Trevor Clifton, also started the Peacock Podcast for Saint Peter's Athletics, which debuted this past September.

He came to Jersey City last year after completing his undergraduate degree at Seton Hall University in May of 2020. While finishing a degree in Sports Management and Marketing and graduating Cum Laude, Behan worked in the Athletics Communications Office for 4 years. He served as the primary Play-By-Play voice of Seton Hall Athletics on the Pirate Sports Network. This role also included video editing and stat keeping for multiple sports, including Swimming/Diving and Track & Field/Cross Country.

"I couldn't be happier for the chance to stay and take on a larger role at Saint Peter's," Behan said. "I would like to thank Rachelle Paul and the rest of the administration for this opportunity to build upon what has already been established here in Jersey City."
