JERSEY CITY, NJ. - Elena Bilhartz and Tim Strele have been named the Peacocks of the Month for their performances in September.
Tim Strele is tied for the team-lead in goals this season for the Peacocks. The SPU sophomore dominated in the Peacocks 3-1 road win at Binghamton with two goals on Sep. 19. The New Jersey native scored his first goal in the 38th minute and then tacked on another in the 49th minute. Strele has tallied four points this season.
Elena Bilhartz has made an impact at the net this season for the Peacocks. The SPU sophomore has racked up 34 blocks and 56 kills this season. The Saint Peter's standout received All-Tournament Honors from at the Seton Hall Classic volleyball tournament (Sep.1-2.) Additionally, Bilhartz's most dominant performance came on Sep. 9 against Central Connecticut State as she scored 17 points on 12 kills and 7 blocks.
