JERSEY CITY, NJ. - Fatmata Janneh and Ashton Smith were named the Peacocks of the Month for the month of November.
For Fatmata Janneh, this is her first time being named peacock of the month. The freshman from London has made an immediate impact for the Peacocks during the first month of the season. Janneh notched a 15 points, 13 rebound double-double in SPU's 61-57 win over Central Connecticut State (11/13). Additionally, in Saint Peter's 63-54 road win over LIU (11/30), Janneh tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds. The SPU standout leads the Peacocks in scoring with nine points per game this season.
Saint Peter's swim and dive's Ashton Smith had an impressive month in November. The Australia native won the Men's 500-yard Freestyle Heat at the Montclair Tri-Meet on Nov. 11 and the men's 100 and 200-yard freestyles at the UMBC Tri-Meet on Nov. 18.
