JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's University softball graduate
Sydney Senerchia (Northford, Conn.) tossed a complete game in the opener, while the Peacocks rapped out 13 hits in the nightcap in a twin bill sweep over Niagara University in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.

The Peacocks improve to 24-15 and 3-7 in the MAAC while the Purple Eagles fall to 6-24 and 2-10 in conference play.

Senerchia turned in an outstanding effort in the circle, tossing a complete game, scattering three hits, allowing two runs (one earned) to pick up her conference leading 13th win of the season.

Saint Peter's scored a run on an error in the third and added three in the fourth. Senior
Brandi Feeney (Cicero, N.Y.) singled in a run in the fourth, stole second and scored on a throwing error. Sophomore
Jess Forte (Middlesex, N.J.) added a solo homerun in the inning for a 4-0 lead.

Niagara scored a run in the fifth and the seventh but Senerchia closed the door on the Purple Knights as Saint Peter's took the opener 4-2.

In the nightcap, the Peacocks awakened their bats with a 13-hit, 15-run effort in a 15-3 win in five innings to complete the sweep.

Cara McNulty (Middletown, N.J.) drove in four runs in the game, including a base-clearing three-run double in the third. Junior
Maiah Skakal (Horseheads, N.Y.) went 3-for-3 with three RBI in the game, while freshman
Tai Turner (Havre De Grace, Md.) and sophomore
Dakota Pitts (Abington, Md.) both went 2-for-3 with two runs scored each with Turner also recording one RBI.
