Tyler Smith Homers In Sunday's Loss To Lehigh

Bethlehem, Pa.- Saint Peter's Baseball lost to Lehigh University, 19-8, on Sunday in the final game of the series.

Game Notes
  • The Peacocks were in a deep hole early in the game, which proved to be too much to overcome.  
  • At the end of the bottom of the first, Saint Peter's was down 9-0.  
  • The Peacocks broke the scoreless streak with a four-run fifth inning.  
  • In the fifth inning, Tyler Smith accounted for two RBIs with a two-run home run.  
  • Even with the score out of reach, the Peacocks continued to battle with four more runs scored between the sixth inning and eighth inning.  
  • Saint Peter's starting pitcher Logan Wenzel received the loss.  
  • The Peacocks lost the weekend series, 3-1.  
  • Following Sunday's loss, the Peacocks moved to 5-16 on the year.  
On Wednesday, Saint Peter's will hope to recalibrate on the road against Villanova University at 3 p.m.
