- Garrett Greco hit a three-run inside-the-park home run in the eighth inning.
- Greco and Logan Baker led Saint Peter's with three RBIs each.
- Saint Peter's finished the game with 11 hits compared to Iona's 15 hits.
- It was a high-scoring game and Iona was ahead 12-6 at the end of the seventh inning.
- Jonny Gilligan suffered the loss on the mound for the Peacocks.
- The loss sent Saint Peter's to a 10-28 overall record and a 4-9 conference record.
The second game of the series will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m.
