Canisius Takes Series-Opener Over Saint Peter's, 8-3

Jersey City, N.J.- Saint Peter's Baseball lost to Canisius University, 8-3, on Friday afternoon at Jaroschak Field.
 
Game Notes
  • Canisius held a steady lead for most of the game and cruised to a five-run win.  
  • In the top of the fifth, Andrew Marcello opened the scoring for Canisius with a two-run single.  
  • For the Peacocks, Ashby Vining and Alex Rakas each had one RBI for the Peacocks.
  • Marcus Monroe received the loss for Saint Peter's.  
  • With the loss, Saint Peter's dropped to 10-34 on the season.
On Saturday, Saint Peter's and Canisius will face off in a doubleheader beginning at 12:30 pm.
