JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Saint Peter's Softball team (15-33, 5-17 MAAC) dropped Friday's series opener against Iona (16-26, 13-9 MAAC) 12-0, in five innings at Jaroschak Field.

- Iona starting pitcher Samantha Reib pitched five innings and gave up one hit, zero earned runs, with two strikeouts.
- The Gaels scored four runs in the top of the fourth inning. Iona's Hailey Guerrero hit a three-run home run in the inning.
- Iona right fielder Jamie Sheeran went 4-4 at the plate, with two home runs, a double, and three RBIs.
- Zailees Seda recorded her 34th career hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. The SPU freshman singled to center field.
The Peacocks will conclude their regular season with a doubleheader against Iona tomorrow, Saturday, May. 4 at noon. Before Saturday's doubleheader, the 2024 Saint Peter's Softball senior class of Maiah Skakal and Kaitlynn Peters will be honored for Senior Day.
