JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's Softball was swept by Marist University in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Jaroschak Field.
Marist was in full control of both contests on Saturday that ended early by run rules.
Game One Recap
In the doubleheader opener, Marist used a six-run fifth inning to bring on an early run rule over Saint Peter's. The Peacocks were shutout in the first game.
Hannah Klotz had two hits, while
Dakota Pitts added one hit of her own.

Game Two Recap
With five runs in the first inning, the Red Foxes put the Peacocks in an insurmountable deficit. Freshman
Steph Bendzlowicz had an RBI that scored Pitts in the second inning. Bendzlowicz's RBI was the lone run of the afternoon for the Peacocks. In the game, Bendzlowicz finished as the team-leader in hits with two.
Saint Peter's finished Saturday's second game with a total of five hits as a team. Freshman pitcher
Brielle Coppola made a contribution in the batter's box when she recorded her first hit of the season in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Angelina Wagner came up with the losing result in the circle for the Peacocks. The pair of losses sent Saint Peter's second record to 7-12 overall.
