North Andover, Mass.- Saint Peter's Softball split with Merrimack College in a doubleheader on Friday afternoon at Warriors Softball Complex.
Game One Recap
In the doubleheader opener, Saint Peter's lost by six runs, 7-1. Saint Peter's fell into an early hole and was unable to get out of it.
Taylor Montgomery drove in the Peacocks' lone run of the afternoon with an RBI double to center field that scored
Dakota Pitts.

Morgan Lipansky received the loss in the circle. Lipansky pitched six innings and recorded seven strikeouts.
Game Two Recap
In the final game of the afternoon, the Peacocks earned a 7-2 road win over Merrimack. The Peacocks bounced back from the previous game.
The Peacocks found a way to pull away from the Warriors late in the ball game for the win. It was a back-and-forth game with Saint Peter's taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning when
Jess Forte had an RBI double to left field. Merrimack tied the game in the first and eventually took over the lead in the third.
With the score even in the top of the sixth inning, freshman catcher
Lauren Czerwinski's sacrifice fly scored Montgomery for what turned out to be the go-ahead run. The Peacocks added three more runs in the seventh inning.
Ava White earned the win in the circle for the Peacocks. She went seven innings and recorded three strikeouts.
Following Friday's split, the Peacocks moved to a record of 9-15 and 1-4 in conference play. This series marked the first time Saint Peter's and Merrimack have ever played one another.
