JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's Softball lost to Iona University in a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon.
Game One Recap
Iona pitcher Allison Hoppe threw a perfect game in six innings against the Peacocks. Over six innings, the Peacocks were held off the base paths. Hoppe recorded seven strikeouts against the Peacocks.
Iona completed the 8-0 perfect game against Saint Peter's.
Game Two Recap
Iona held Saint Peter's scoreless, 3-0.
Hannah Klotz and
Ashley Murphy led the team in hits with two base knocks each. Saint Peter's finished the second game with six total hits against Iona pitcher Nadia Andarowski.
Coppola went seven strong innings for the Peacocks with six strikeouts. With the two losses on Tuesday, Saint Peter's fell to 9-29 overall and 1-17 in conference.
