HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: Siena built a 3-0 lead after the first three innings of the game with a single run in the first and two more in the third.
Brielle Coppola played an incredibly competitive game for the Peacocks, but the Saints kept coming back with answers throughout the day. Siena added four more runs in the top of the sixth to take a 7-0 lead.
The Peacocks got on the board in the bottom of the sixth after Turner singled to right which allowed
Taylor Montgomery to reach home plate. Saint Peter's ultimately fell to the Saints, 1-7.
GAME TWO: Saint Peter's had a rough start to begin the second game of the doubleheader, giving up 11 runs in the first inning.
From there, it didn't get better for the Peacocks as they recorded just one hit throughout the game. Despite the result, Wagner pitched a solid game in the circle, giving up just one run which came on her very first batter.
The game ended after five innings since the Saints held an eight-run lead.
