EDISON, NJ– After a standout performance at Friday's TCNJ Lions Indoor Invitational, senior long jumper
Amari Campbell has been named the Jersey Mike's MAAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Plainfield, New Jersey native opened the 2026 calendar year with the lone gold medal for the Saint Peter's men's field team. Campbell dominated the men's long jump, being the only competitor to clear seven meters and winning the event with a mark of 7.18m. The performance placed him on both the
2026 NCAA Indoor Top 100 at #57 and the
2026 DI Indoor Top 100 at #37.
The honor marks Campbell's first career MAAC weekly award, the program's first Men's Field Athlete of the Week selection, and the second overall MAAC weekly accolade for Saint Peter's this season.
The Peacocks return to action at the Wagner College Invitational on January 17 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
