ARLINGTON, VA - The Saint Peter's Baseball program was unable to pull out a win against George Washington today at Barcroft Park. The Peacocks struggled throughout the game, ultimately losing 0-17.

The Peacocks (0-5) could not figure out how to get on base with only nine hits at bat, while George Washington (1-6) was able to get off 15 hits and two home runs, leading to their victory.

SPUs hitting leaders were
Alex Manent (2),
Chase Fogg (2), and
Aidan Forrest (1). Along with
Bobby Lavely having a solid performance with a slugging percentage of 2.0%.
HOW IT HAPPENED-
SPU's first hit came in the top of the first inning by Manent, sending it to center field, followed by
RJ Azarieh grounding it into a double play to the shortstop, resulting in Manent getting out. George Washington would answer back with a run of their own with a hit down the middle.

George Washington went on to be runless by a strong defensive effort by the Peacocks until the third and fourth inning where they would go on to score eight unanswered runs.
​
The Peacocks' struggles would continue at bat well into the eighth and ninth inning where George Washington would shut them out with zero runs and go on to score eight more runs.
