EMMITSBURG, Md. - The Saint Peter's baseball team dropped its third and final game of the series to Mount St. Mary's by a final score of 3-13 on Sunday at E.T. Straw Family Stadium.
The Peacocks (3-29, 0-15 MAAC) totaled nine hits, but once again struggled defensively against the Mountaineers (17-15, 10-8 MAAC).
Chase Fogg led the team with three hits and two RBIs while also hitting one of two Saint Peter's home runs on the day. The other homer belonged to
Steve Polizzi who had a home run in all three games of the series against Mount St. Mary's.

Allen Ramos all notched hits as well.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After coming up empty in the top of the first, Saint Peter's saw the Mountaineers score the first runs of the game in the bottom half of the inning as they took a 5-0 lead. With two outs in the second, Fogg hit a solo homer to center field, putting the Peacocks on the board.
The Peacocks struggled to slow down the bats of Mount St. Mary's as the Mountaineers added two more runs in each of the next two innings. Polizzi kept his solid weekend going, hitting his third home run of the series in the top of the fifth. Shortly after,
Luke Schwartz got into scoring position after being walked and stealing second. Fogg brought him home with a double to make it 3-9.
Mount St. Mary's responded well and scored four more runs over the next two innings to win the game by 10 through seven.
