BUFFALO, N.Y. - Saint Peter's (3-23, 0-6 MAAC) struggled at the plate against Canisius (7-15, 4-6 MAAC) in their 0-11 loss on Thursday afternoon.
Kurt Thomas was on the mound for the Peacocks, where he faced 31 batters and allowed seven runs during his time pitching.
HOW IT HAPPENED-
Saint Peter's started off strong defensively by holding Canisus to one run with Joey Dwyer recording five put outs and Luke Schwartz having seven for the game.
SPU would have their first hit of the game at the top of the fourth from a Schwartz single to center field, giving him enough time to reach first base.
The Peacocks will go on to struggle both offensively and defensively later on in the game, with Cansius putting up six more runs by the bottom of the sixth.
SPU would record their second and final hit at the top of the seventh inning from a hit by Schwartz that resulted in him reaching first by a fielder's choice. The Griffins would go on to add four more runs to the scoreboard and hold The Peacocks to zero runs for the rest of the game, ending in a 0-11 defeat for Saint Peter's.
UP NEXT-
The Peacocks will be back to face Canisius in a double header starting on Friday, April 3rd at 2 p.m. EST.
