McAllistar Milne Named Next Head Coach Of Saint Peter’s Swimming & Diving

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Saint Peter's University announced the hiring of McAllistar Milne as the new head coach of the Peacocks' swimming and diving program on Friday. His first day leading the Peacocks will be on Monday, Aug. 24.

"I'm excited to officially welcome Coach McAllistar Milne to Saint Peter's University as the new head coach of our men's and women's swimming and diving programs," Director of Athletics Katie Arcuri said. "Throughout the search process, we were focused on finding a leader who will put our student-athletes first, build a positive and competitive culture, and move our programs forward. We believe Coach Milne is the right person to do just that."

Milne joins the Peacocks after serving as an assistant coach with the Central Connecticut State women's swimming and diving program during the 2025-26 season. In his role with the Blue Devils, Milne assisted with daily practices, meet preparation, recruiting efforts and team travel while helping guide the program to a second-place finish at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Milne has built a strong background in club and developmental swimming. Prior to joining Saint Peter's, Milne worked as the head senior coach at GRIT Aquatics in New Britain, Connecticut, where he developed daily workouts, coordinated meet entries and collaborated with swimmers, families and coaching staff. He also worked as the head swim coach at the Golf Club of Avon, working with club members ages 5-17 while creating training plans and managing competition lineups.

Milne also previously served as a senior coach at the Mandell Jewish Community Center and worked with the Wampanoag Swim Club, where he coached athletes of various ages and skill levels, organized meets and helped develop swimmers through individualized instruction. He brings experience as a swim instructor and has worked with athletes through the Special Olympics Swimming program.

A former collegiate swimmer, Milne competed at both the Division I and Division II levels. He was a member of the University of Connecticut swimming and diving program during the 2019-20 season, earning selection to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship team. He later competed at Southern Connecticut State University, where he was team captain during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.

Milne enjoyed a decorated collegiate career, earning NCAA Qualifier honors, NE10 Swimmer of the Meet recognition and NE10 Swimmer of the Year honors during the 2022-23 season. He was also named the Hartford Courant Swimmer of the Year in 2019 and earned a varsity letter while at UConn.

Milne earned his bachelor's degree in sports management from Southern Connecticut State. During his time at SCSU, he was a founding member and vice president of the university's Outing Club while remaining active as a student-athlete.

"I'm incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Saint Peter's community," Milne stated. "I'm looking forward to getting to know our student-athletes and building a program centered around hard work, accountability, and a strong team identity. I'm ready to bring a new standard, a lot of energy to the pool every day, and help our student-athletes push themselves to reach new levels both in and out of the water. I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together. Go Peacocks!"
