Casey Aubin joined head baseball coach Lou Proietti's staff in September 2019.
With Aubin on the staff serving as the pitching coach during 2021, the Peacocks produced three overall shutout wins against MAAC foes Niagara, Marist, and Monmouth, leading to Saint Peter's most ever MAAC clean sheet victories in a single season and marked the first time the program has shutout three separate MAAC opponents in the same year. Moreover, the three total clean sheet wins for Saint Peter’s was the most for the program in almost a decade, having last held three or more total opponents run-less during 2012, when that lineup produced four total shutout wins between MAAC and non-conference opponents combined.
Aubin came to Saint Peter's after an impressive career with the Minutemen. During his senior year in 2019, the right-handed pitcher made 16 appearances primarily out of the bullpen. The New Hampshire native recorded a team-high five saves in 2019 while also finishing with a 2-0 record. Aubin finished the year with 31 strikeouts and a 1.00 ERA, allowing just three earned runs all year. He has coached the USA Mavericks out of Newington, New Hampshire, for the past two years, and he will work closely with the pitchers and serve as the Peacocks' Recruiting Coordinator.
"We are very excited to add Casey to the coaching staff as our Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator," said Proietti. "Not only did Casey have a very impressive playing career, he came highly recommended as someone who will not be outworked when it comes to recruiting, developing pitchers and helping our program reach an NCAA regional tournament. He will be instrumental in providing the pitchers the support they need in order to compete at the highest level in the MAAC."
Aubin is originally from Lee, New Hampshire, and currently resides in Somerville, New Jersey.
