Saint Peter's University named Jonathan Kulas as head coach of the men's golf program in October of 2021.

Kulas comes to Jersey City with 10 years of collegiate coaching experience, including serving as the head coach of the Penn State Scranton golf program from 2019 to 2021.

In his two seasons at Penn State Scranton, Kulas was tasked with relaunching the varsity golf program after a 43-year absence. His team took first place at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Invitational and qualified for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) national championship in its first season back.

Kulas also spent three seasons as a volunteer assistant coach with the Misericordia University men's and women's golf programs, where he was responsible for developing in-season and offseason training programs and providing on-course instruction.

Prior to his stints at Penn State Scranton and Misericordia, Kulas was a golf professional at several clubs in Pennsylvania. He was tasked with instructing juniors who reached Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) state championships, as well as teaching lessons in individual and group settings and performing administrative tasks.

A graduate of Marywood University in Scranton, Pa. with a degree in business administration, Kulas helped create a golf program at the school, which has now reached NCAA Division III status.

Kulas got his start on staff in college athletics coaching basketball. He was a head coach of the men's program at Johnson College of Technology, as well as an assistant for the men's and women's programs at Marywood University. With these programs, he handled tasks including recruiting, planning workouts, and overseeing compliance.
