Alyssa Ruiz returns for her 7th season as Assistant Coach for the 2024 season. Alyssa joined
the Peacocks staff in 2018 after playing 4 years from 2014-1017.

Alyssa took over as the Pitching Coach in 2023 to add to her responsibilities as the Outfield
Coach. She is a vital part of Saint Peter’s Softball and has been her entire career. Her first
season as the Pitching Coach saw an improvement in Team ERA, Wins, and Batting Average
against.

Coach came right out of the circle as a Peacock pitcher to the dugout as a coach for the 2018
season. She has worked with NJ Heat Softball and Kaboom Softball. She spends her summer
promoting the program at camps and clinics and has had a huge impact on the recruiting front.

Coach Alyssa is a 2017 Graduate of Saint Peter’s and has a Master’s of Arts in Education in
School Counseling from Saint Peter’s and is currently the Dean of Culture/School Counselor for
St. Dominick’s Academy in Jersey City, NJ.
