Vinny Carlesi is returning for his 2nd season with the Peacocks in 2024. He joined the staff as a
Volunteer Assistant in 2023.

Carlesi works mainly with the Peacock’s hitters. He had an extremely successful campaign in
2023, seeing an improvement in every single measurable offensive category from 2022 to 2023.
The most notables are Batting Average, Runs, and Homeruns.

Carlesi comes to the Peacocks through a long-time coaching relationship with Head Coach as
well as Assistant Coach, Ralph Suppa. The three worked together to develop Fielder’s Choice
Baseball which lead to Kaboom Softball which brought Vinny back to the softball world.

This is Coach Vinny’s 2nd stint with the Peacocks as he was an assistant coach in the 1994
season. He has also served as a Baseball Talent Scout for the Montreal Expos He is a graduate
from Wagner College, has and MBA from Pace, and has owned and operated Florida Coast
Spring Training, a baseball spring training facility for High School and College Baseball teams.
Known as “Vinny Ball,” it is impossible to be in the Port St. Lucy area during the early Spring
without seeing Coach Vinny’s impact on the area. Vinny is also the Owner and Operator of Nike
Sports Camps for the past 35 years.

Saint Peter’s University is not Coach Vinny’s only volunteer work. He is an avid volunteer for
Meals on Wheels and the Sussex County Food Pantry.
