Tom Coulson enters his fifth season as an assistant coach in 2025 after joining his alma mater’s coaching staff in 2021.

In his role, Coulson is involved in all facets of the program, including team training, player development, recruiting, alumni engagement, and day-to-day operations. His leadership and attention to detail have been key factors in elevating both team performance and individual growth.

Prior to coaching, Coulson was a standout student-athlete at Saint Peter’s, competing for the Peacocks from 2017 to 2021. During his collegiate career, he helped lead the program to a MAAC Conference Final in 2019, along with quarterfinal appearances in 2018 and 2021, serving as captain in the latter year. Individually, he earned multiple All-MAAC Academic Team honors, was named to the All-MAAC Second Team and All-MAAC Championship Team, claimed MAAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition, and received the Saint Peter’s Male Iron Peacock Award.

Coulson began his coaching career in 2021, making an immediate impact as the team earned the No. 2 seed and advanced to the MAAC Quarterfinals that fall.

He offers a unique blend of collegiate playing experience, youth development insight, and a strong understanding of the game, both as a former student-athlete and as a dedicated coach.

Coulson earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Saint Peter’s in 2021 and completed his master’s degree in Business Analytics in 2024. He currently holds a UEFA “C” Coaching License and is pursuing his U.S. Soccer “C” License.
