JERSEY CITY, NJ - Saint Peter's College Director of Athletics Patrick Elliott has announced the signing of Caroline Garvey as Assistant Coach of the women's volleyball team.
"We are excited to have Caroline join our athletics staff," Elliott stated. "As a former Saint Peter's volleyball standout, Caroline brings to her new position the same leadership, dedication, and work ethic that led to her success as a student-athlete."
Garvey graduated from Saint Peter's this past spring with a degree in Psychology. She concluded her collegiate career at Saint Peter's as the all-time leader in matches played and sets played. The Massapequa, NY native finished 3rd in career assists and 9th in career service aces. Early in the 2008 season she was the Ace of the Nation, leading all Division I volleyball players with 1.12 aces/set. As a team, the Peahens finished the 2008 season with 1.18 aces/set - ninth best in the nation.
Garvey joins Head Coach Joseph Agrest, now in his second season at Saint Peter's.
