JERSEY CITY, NJ (June 23, 2010) – The Saint Peter's College Department of Athletics has announced that
Mohamed Abdelaal has been named the new Head Swimming and Diving Coach and Aquatics Director. Abdelaal spent last season as an assistant coach for the Peacocks and Peahens.
“Mohamed (Abdelaal) brings a wealth of experience to our swimming and diving program,” said Director of Athletics
Patrick Elliott. “He has been instrumental in some of the recent success of our program and has demonstrated he is the right person to lead the Saint Peter's College swim program into the future.”
A graduate of Montclair State University, Abdelaal has been the Aquatics Director and Pool Manager at the Bayonne Municipal Pool and the head coach of the BMS Age Group Swim Team for the past three years.
“We are thrilled to have Mohamed (Abdelaal) joining the recreation staff at Saint Peter's College as our newest aquatics coordinator,” said
David Bryngil, Saint Peter's College Director of Recreation and the Recreational Life Center. “Mohamed has devoted his life to aquatics and we are truly excited about the future of our program with him at the helm.”
Abdelaal has successfully run the pool in Bayonne, starting and executing several programs at the facility.
