Named to All-MAAC Second Team

EDISON, NJ - Saint Peter's College seniors Ryan Bacon (Maplewood, NJ) and Wesley Jenkins (Newark, NJ) were named to the All-MAAC Second Team this afternoon. Bacon is making his first appearance on the All-MAAC Second Team. He is averaging 9.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game this season. He also blocked 57 shots and now has 201 for his career which is the all-time Saint Peter's record. He also reached the 1,000-point mark this season and has 793 career rebounds, which is third all-time. Jenkins is making his first appearance on the All-MAAC Second Team after being named to the All-MAAC Third Team twice and the All-MAAC Rookie Team. He is leading the Peacocks with 12.9ppg, despite missing seven games due to injury. He also is grabbing 4.9rpg and is shooting nearly 43% from beyond the arc. Jenkins has 1,512 career points which is eighth all-time. Jenkins and Bacon along with fellow seniors Nick Leon and Jeron Belin will lead the Peacocks in the 2011 Spark Energy MAAC Basketball Championships this Saturday at 2:30pm against #5 Loyola.
