BRADENTON, FL – Peacock golfer Andrew Gain shot rounds of 70-72 to finish at two under-par and qualify for the 86th U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. Gain earned the only qualifying spot of the sectional round at Waterlefe Golf and River Club. The championship will be contested June 27-July 2 at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon.
The tournament field will be comprised of 156 of the best amateur golfers. Entry for qualifying was open to all public-course players who have not held privileges at any course which does not extend playing privileges to the general public. The championship segment will consist of 36 holes of stroke played, after which the top 64 players will advance to match play.
