Peacock Swimmer Lovro Bilonic Qualifies for World Championships

Saint Peter's College swimmer Lovro Bilonic will represent Croatia at the World Championships next week in Shanghai. Bilonic a native of Split, Croatia won the Croatian National Championships in two events with qualifying times for the World Championships. Bilonic will now compete on the sports biggest stage other than the Olympic games.

Bilonic will compete during the first day of competition on July 24th at 10 a.m eastern standard time in the 100 Breaststroke. This meet caps a historic year for Bilonic as he has qualified for European SCM championships in November, won three MAAC Championships, two ECAC Championships and qualified for NCAA Championships. He was the first male swimmer in Saint Peter's and MAAC history to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
