Men's Golf Completes Six Holes Before Weather Postpones First Round Of C&F Bank Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Eric Edmunds (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) sits one over after six holes to lead the Saint Peter's men's golf team in the first round of the C&F Bank Invitational on Sunday. Play was suspended with snow falling in Williamsburg with all five Peacock competitors on the course.

Starting on the 16th tee, Edmunds was even through the first five holes before recording a bogey on his sixth hole and then play was halted to card a 23 through six holes for a one-over par in Saint Peter's first event of the spring. Casey Olsen from Eastern Michigan is the clubhouse leader in the first round after shooting a four-under round of 67.

Andrew Gain (Gold Coast, Australia/Bond College) and Nicholas Dilio (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay) each sit at two-par with a score of 24 through six holes. Gain bogeyed the 17th, first and third holes, but recorded the team's only birdie in the tournament on the second hole while Dilio played each hole even except the 18th hole where he registered a double bogey.

Brian Grubbs (Cotez, Colo./Montezuma) is five over through six holes with a score of 27 and Luke Previt (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) is 10 over with a score of 32 through six holes.

Half of the 32 teams in the first were able to complete the first round while there were 16 teams brought into the clubhouse due to the weather before they could finish the opening round.

Depending on the weather conditions, Saint Peter's will resume play in the first round and complete second-round action on Monday at the C&F Bank Invitational. Play is scheduled to pick up at 7:45 a.m.
