JERSEY CITY, N.J.- The Saint Peter's University women's tennis team was defeated 7-0 by the visiting Univeristy of Rhode Island Rams this afternoon.
The only Peacock to not fall in straight sets was junior Ivana Grbelja Kelowna (Canada/Immaculata Regional), who fell in three at #4 singles against URI's Karolina Wojciak. Grbelja defeated Wojciak easily in set one by a score of 6-1, but went on to lose the three-set battle by scores of 6-4 and 10-6, respectively.
Saint Peter's also dropped all three doubles matches.
The Peacocks return to action on March 25th, as they take on Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. at 4pm.
