BURLINGTON, Vt. – Ieshawn Johnson (Long Island, N.J./Baldwin) set a Saint Peter's record in the men's weight on Friday at the Vermont Tri-Meet.
Johnson's throw of 18.48-meters set a Saint Peter's record, and is the first Peacock to ever surpass the 60' mark.
Sunita Kumar (Munich, Germany/Gymnasium Kirchheim) notched a first place finish in the women's weight throw, with a toss of 10.47-meters. Kumar also came in first in the 55-meter hurdle with a time of 8.69 seconds.
Dominique Ware (Penns Grove, N.J./Penns Grove) placed first in the men's triple jump, recording a jump of 12.48-meters.
In the track events, Raquel Henderson (Ocean Twp, N.J./Ocean Township) came in first in the 500-meter run, recording a time of 1:21.94.
Essence Rogers (Central Islip, N.Y./Bay Shore High School) came in first in the 55-meter dash, running the event in 7.48 seconds.
Dexter Valley (West Orange, N.J./West Orange High School) placed first in the 300-meter dash, recording a time of 37.02 seconds.
Saint Peter's returns to action Jan. 24-25, when the team competes in the NYU Invitational.
