Former Saint Peter's Baseball Standout Conor Mullee Pitching For New York Yankees Double-A Affiliate

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Former Saint Peter's University baseball standout Conor Mullee is currently pitching with the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate Trenton Thunder.

Mullee is a 2010 graduate of Saint Peter's and was drafted in the 24th round by the New York Yankees of the Major League Draft in 2010. Mullee has appeared in 22 games this season between the Tampa Yankees and the Trenton Thunder, posting a 3-2 record with a 3.09 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 32.0 innings pitched.

The Ashburn, Virginia, native began the year with the Yankees' Single-A Advanced affiliate of the Florida State League and went 1-1 with four saves, a 2.13 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 12.2 innings pitched.

Mullee made his Trenton Thunder debut on May 14 with two scoreless innings and five strikeouts. With the Thunder, Mullee is 2-1 with a 3.72 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched.

Mullee has pitched for the Gulf Coast Yankees, Staten Island Yankees, Charleston RiverDogs, Tampa Yankees and Trenton in four seasons in the New York Yankees minor league system.  Mullee, who did not play during the 2011 or 2013 seasons, has appeared in 63 games on the mound in relief with 8-4 record, seven saves, a 2.11 ERA and 88 strikeouts in 98.0 innings pitched in his minor league career.

Mullee was a four-year letterwinner for Peacocks baseball team from 2007-10. A 2009 All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference first-team selection, he is the program's all-time career leader in doubles (55), RBIs (141), total bases (331) and ranks second in program history for career in games played (205), second in games starts (205), second in at-bats (743), second in runs scored (130), second in hits (216), third in home runs (17), sixth in walks (80) and 12th in stolen bases (37).

The Trenton Thunder play at Arm & Hammer Park in Trenton, New Jersey. The Thunder return to Trenton on Friday for a four-game series against Richmond (July 10-13) and will also be at home this month from July 23-July 29 in a pair of three-game series against Binghamton and Portland.
