KINGS POINT, N.Y. – Alexandra Moffatt (Smithville, Texas/Smithville) won a pair of events and Michael Marcano (Roselle, N.J./Roselle Catholic) won an event to pace the Saint Peter's track and field team at the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational on Sunday.
Moffatt won the long jump with a leap of 5.38m and the triple jump with a distance of 10.74m while Marcano posted the only individual win on the men's side with a victory in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.89. The senior also finished second in the 200-meter dash (22.27).
Britany Maragh (Nanuet, N.Y./Nanuet Senior) and Aicha Elola (Jersey City, N.J./Lincoln) also notched first-place standings on the day. Maragh won the high jump with a height of 1.55m and Eiola was first in the shot put with a throw of 11.90m and third in the discus (31.24m) while the men's 4x100-relay (41.47) and 4x400-relay teams also registered wins on the afternoon.
Nkosi Pile (Atlanta, Ga./The Church Farm) finished right behind Marcano in the 100-meter dash (10.91) while Christopher Reed (Linden, N.J./Union Catholic) place second in the 110-meter hurdles (15.95). Jermaine Lascelles (Bloomfield, Conn./Bloomfield) posted a third-place standing in the high jump (1.95m) and a fourth-place finish in the long jump (6.44m).
Gadimi Dorielan (Fords, N.J./Colonia) was fifth in the 400-meter dash (50.48), Lance Weaver (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) finished sixth in the 800-meter run (2.00.73) and Dexter Valley (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) placed seventh in the 200-meter dash (22.67).
Shenell Garner (Cocoa Beach, Fla./Cocoa Beach) placed second in the discus (31.89m) and third in the hammer (40.18m) while Adia Ledbetter (Linden, N.J./Roselle Catholic) was second in the shot put (11.41m).
Chandler Copeland (Manchester, N.J./Manchester Township) finished third in the shot put (11.09m), fourth in the javelin (28.18m) and seventh in the discus (25.69m). Suzenie St Germain (Linden, N.J./Linden) placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.88) and fifth in the 400-intermediate hurdles (1:11.89) and Alli-Safyer Kelly-Blackwood (Roselle, N.J./Union County Vo-Tech) was fourth in the 400-intermediate hurdles (1:11.39).
Daija King (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) finished sixth in the 400-meter dash (1:00.80) and Georgie Nicholes (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) was seventh in the 1500-meter run (5:13.34). The women's 4x100-relay team finished third (51.61) and the 4x400-relay team placed fifth (4:12.42).
Saint Peter's returns to action at the Albany Spring Classic on Saturday.
