Inside the Numbers
Coach's Quotes - Melissa Sherwood
  • "After an initial lack of concentration at the start of the game which lead to us conceding an early penalty, fortunately the goalkeeper saved it and sparked us into life."
  • "We defended resolutely in the first half and stuck to the tactical organization collectively throughout; unfortunately, a moment of poor decision making late in the second half lead to the opening goal."
  • "After that we opened up a little bit more as we looked to take more risks to get an equalizer which led to being vulnerable to the second, which inevitably killed the game at that time."
  • "Overall a much-improved performance from midweek but in fairness we never troubled the opposition enough offensively, to try and take advantage of the defensive resilience we showed for 75+ minutes of the game today."

Up Next
  • The Peacocks have one full week off before returning to Jersey City on Saturday, October 20 for a home game against Iona at 12 p.m. The game will be the first annual Peacock Youth Soccer Day.
