Swimming & Diving Begins Season at NJIT Invitational

Opening Dive

The Saint Peter's men's and women's swimming and diving teams open the season at the annual NJIT Invitational on Sunday, October 21 at 2 p.m.
The quad-meet will feature Manhattan, Mount St. Mary's, and host NJIT.
Last season at the invitational, the Peacock men's team won both of its meets against NJIT (110-95) and Mount St. Mary's (137-68) to begin the year 2-0.

Next Time in the Pool

The Peacocks return to the pool in a couple of weeks for the home-opener against St. Francis Brooklyn at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 3.

This Year's Squad

The 2018-19 season marks the third year at the helm of the swimming and diving programs for Mark Kretzer.
Returns after a very successful second season that produced a perfect 3-0 MAAC record, 9-2 overall record, and a sixth-place finish at MAACs for the men's team.
The Peacocks return 21 total letterwinners from last year's teams.
The men's team returns: Brian Bates, Arthur Bertrand, Andrew Galarza, Dino Jajcanin, Jordi Mallen, Troy Pina, Oleksiy Polishchuk, Michael Spark, Andrew Valentino, Joshua Varrie, Jonathan Veintimilla, Chad Williams, ans Matthew Xenitelis.
Bertrand, Galarza, and Polishchuk are returning MAAC medalists from last season.
The team's newcomers include: Hunter Cooney, Dylan Dela Cruz, David Dolgitzer, Miles Jantzi, Yann Le Gall, Jhonny Perez, Guillem Perez, Ethan Riozzi-Bodine, Juvan Rivas, and Chandler Tucker.
The women's squad returns: Angel Gabinete, Lindsey Hanger, Tierney Hartnett, Vanessa Rodrigues, Jenny Rojas, Alexandria Thomas, Brianni Thomas, and Rachel Valentine.
Newcomers on the women's side feature: Devyn Hantgin, Sky Labonte, Hannah Rye, Evangelia Vasilikas, Mandy Williams, Miranda Yeats, and Besjon Rexha.
