Women’s Volleyball Suffers a Four Set Loss at Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT: The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team dropped a conference meeting with Fairfield in Connecticut on Sunday afternoon, losing in four sets (23-25) (25-13) (16-25) (12-25). 
 
Game Notes vs. Canisius:

• The Peacock's (6-21, 3-10 MAAC) came up short in the final match of the weekend against Fairfield University.
• The first set was a nail biter for the Peacocks, but the unit up just two points short, falling 23-25.
• The team bounced back winning the second set 25-13, behind a 17-9 run from the Peacocks after Fairfield tied the match at 3-3.
• The Stags pulled away for the final two sets to take the win, winning (16-25) (12-25). 

Inside the Numbers:

• Karen Ramiu recorded her fifth double double of the season, finishing with 11 kills and 11 digs. 
• Alanis Alvarado finished with seven kills and 11 digs. 
• Alexus Sharp contributed eight kills against the Stags.
• Karla Seda finished with 10 digs and Carolina Ruiz was right behind her finishing with nine digs.
