Swimming & Diving Hosts St. Francis Brooklyn in Home Opener on Saturday

Opening Dive

The Saint Peter's men's and women's swimming and diving teams host St. Francis Brooklyn in the home opener on Saturday, November 3 at 2 p.m.

Last Time out

The Peacocks participated in the NJIT Invitational on October 21 to open up the 2018-19 seasons.
The men's squad went a perfect 3-0 at the quad meet, knocking off NJIT (118-115), Mount Saint Mary's (155-58), and MAAC foe Manhattan (140.50-92.50), improving the team's record to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the MAAC to start the season.
Andrew Galarza posted the fastest 1000 free, Jhonny Perez swam the fastest 50 free and 100 free, and Oleksiy Polishchuk was the top finisher in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke.
The women's team fell to Mount Saint Mary's (52-163), Manhattan (57-159), and LIU Brooklyn (37-162), falling to 0-3.

Next Time in the Pool

The Peacocks travel to Kings Point, NY for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Invitational on Saturday, November 17.
The meet gets underway at 11 a.m.

This Year's Squad

The 2018-19 season marks the third year at the helm of the swimming and diving programs for Mark Kretzer.
Returns after a very successful second season that produced a perfect 3-0 MAAC record, 9-2 overall record, and a sixth-place finish at MAACs for the men's team.
The Peacocks return 21 total letterwinners from last year's teams.
The men's team returns: Brian Bates, Arthur Bertrand, Andrew Galarza, Dino Jajcanin, Jordi Mallen, Troy Pina, Oleksiy Polishchuk, Michael Spark, Andrew Valentino, Joshua Varrie, Jonathan Veintimilla, Chad Williams, and Matthew Xenitelis.
Bertrand, Galarza, and Polishchuk are returning MAAC medalists from last season.
The team's newcomers include: Hunter Cooney, Dylan Dela Cruz, David Dolgitzer, Miles Jantzi, Yann Le Gall, Jhonny Perez, Guillem Perez, Ethan Riozzi-Bodine, Juvan Rivas, and Chandler Tucker.
The women's squad returns: Angel Gabinete, Lindsey Hanger, Tierney Hartnett, Vanessa Rodrigues, Jenny Rojas, Alexandria Thomas, Brianni Thomas, and Rachel Valentine.
Newcomers on the women's side feature: Devyn Hantgin, Sky Labonte, Hannah Rye, Evangelia Vasilikas, Mandy Williams, Miranda Yeats, and Besjon Rexha.
