EASTON, PA- The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team picked up their second win of the season. Earlier in the day, the Peacock's fell to Lehigh in a tight match (22-25, 23-25, 23-25) before coming back strong to finish the day with a win against Lafayette College (25-8, 21-25, 25-20, 25-21).
Game Notes vs. Lehigh:
- The Peacocks (1-3) came up short in the first match of the day against Lehigh University.
- It was a tight match throughout all three sets of the game.
- Only losing by 3 points in the first set, then losing by 2 points in the second and third set.
- Lehigh was able to come out ahead each set giving them the win over Saint Peter's.
Game Notes vs. Lafayette:
- The Peacocks (2-3), pulled out another win in their second match of the day over Lafayette.
- The team went through four sets to pick up the win.
- The Peacocks cruised through the first set (25-8), but just came short in the second set (21-25).
- The team finished the match off winning the next two sets (25-20) (25-21).
Inside the Numbers:
- The Peacock's had three players record double-digit digs against Lehigh: Angeleyshka Curbelo (14), Karla Seda (13) and Andrea Lombeyda (11).
- Curbelo also earned a double-double with 12 kills and a team high of 14 digs.
- Seda was right behind Curbelo with 13 digs.
- Wildalys Soto had a team high of 22 assists.
- In the win against Lafayette, Soto notched a double-double with a career high 37 assists and 13 digs.
- Alanis Alvarado was just short of a double-double with 15 kills and 9 digs.
- Alexus Sharp followed Alvarado with 12 kills and Seda picked up 12 digs.
- The Peacocks have now won two out of their last three matches.
- The last time the program won two out of three matches was back in 2014 when that team won back to back matches on October 8th and 11th.
