The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team will travel to Niagara this weekend to face off against the Purple Eagles on Saturday, October 26 in an under-the-lights match at 7 p.m.
Saint Peter's has won six consecutive MAAC matches, a feat which has never been accomplished since the program joined the conference in 1980.
Saint Peter's remains at the top of MAAC standings with 18 league points, after a 3-2 overtime win at Marist on October 23.
Freshman midfielder Omar Seghiri opened the scoring for the Peacocks in their match against the Red Foxes, finding the back of the net in the 59th minute off an assist from sophomore midfielder Jamie Davis.
Less than 10 minutes later, junior forward Dominic Laws would follow up with a goal of his own, scoring off an assist from junior midfielder Jordan Jowers in the 67th minute to put the Peacocks up 2-0.
After heading into overtime following two late goals by the Red Foxes, Laws sealed the game for Saint Peter's off a long assist from Davis, scoring his second goal of the night.

Past with the Purple Eagles

The two squads will line up across from each other for the 32nd time in the series on Saturday night.
The Peacocks hold the advantage over the Purple Eagles in the series with an all-time record of 16-10-5.
Saint Peter's will seek back-to-back wins against Niagara, having won 4-1 at home on October 13, 2018.
In addition to regular season play, the two sides have faced off three times in the postseason, most recently in 2007, when the Peacocks took a close 2-1 victory in the first round of the MAAC Men's Soccer Championship on Nov. 15.
